08/15 San Francisco Bay Area
08/16 Santa Cruz
08/17 San Luis Obispo

We can and will return the favor anytime anyone needs it coming through San Diego, be it hooking up a show or simply providing a place to crash, a warm meal, and a tank of gas in the morning.

Bands we sound like / are influenced by / rip off: Angel Hair, Boilermaker, City of Caterpillar, Clikatat Ikatowi, Converge, Do Make Say Think, Don Caballero, Drive Like Jehu, Envy, Explosions in the Sky, Funeral Diner, Isis, June of 44, Kepler, Mogwai, Orchid, Slint, Sonic Youth, Three Mile Pilot, Unwound, Van Johnson, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, even just a bit of direction to the right people. Thanks a lot!

One of my favorite bands is Polvo. Anyone have any reccomendations for music that's like this -- alternate tunings, weird guitar sounds, usually pretty complex song structures, big ideas (besides the obvious, Sonic Youth)? Thanks!

Show on Saturday night! Woohoo!

End on End: Ebullition style hardcore meets From Ashes Rise. Heavy and aggressive with political lyrics. One of the best live bands ever.
Disconnect: Thrashy/indie/hardcore/punk from Reno. You love it.
An Arrow in Flight: DIY as fuck hardcore. Passionate and political.
The View From Space: Crushingly heavy indie/metal/drone. Epic and brutal. Think Funeral Diner/Envy/Isis.
Asshole Assassination Squad: Thrashy youth crew. Similar to DS-13.
Bastard Ass: Power-violence that makes you wonder if we're back in the '80's.

The Workmen's Circle
1525 S Robertson Blvd
Los Angeles CA 90035
7pm, $5

See you there!

We Versus the Shark are in the process of finishing the booking for our March tour and we need help. We have a few unconfirmed dates; if you or someone you know does house shows, in-store performances, or anything of that nature, please let us know if we can play your town. You can listen to us here or here...all we ask in return is some money for gas. Here are the dates:

SO, if you're in the area, come out. It'll be a lot of fun.

P.S. What recording was "Strawberry Anne Switzerland" by Braid on? It's on Movie Music vol. one, but what was it on originally?
